         Based in New York, NY, Vanilla Velvet aspires to provide
         women with natural alternatives to bath and body products.
         The recipes are devised and tested by a group of friends, who
         started collecting and testing recipes during their sophomore
         year at Penn State in 1992. Since then, the  recipes have 
         been featured on various websites, enjoyed by family, friends and
         co-workers and pitched as a book idea to Random House.
        
         The website and recipe collection were born out of the desire to
         make the recipes available to a wider audience - at a reasonable
         price. After a few months of late nights, the website and
         collection made their debut in late November 2001. Since then
         the positive feedback has been enough to make it worthwhile.
         We hope you enjoy the collection as much as we do.
